Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer you will be primarily responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of Dynata's core applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform back end based development using agile methodologies, including unit testing, code reviews, continuous delivery, etc., along with leveraging a variety of technologies to implement projects. In addition, code must be designed to scale and follow best security practices
• Learn core business processes, follow best software engineering practices and code craftsmanship from architects, perform code reviews, and continually look to improve our software development lifecycle
• Make bug fixes for issues found in production and minor enhancements to existing applications
• Help monitor production releases and react quickly to any issue along with developing appropriate production monitors for applications
• Oversee the design and implementation of software components on the Data Integration & Fulfillment Area

Skills and Attributes

• Core competency in computer science: general programming, logic, problem solving, data structures, algorithms, etc.
• Experience working with both relational databases and NoSQL databases
• Experience with microservice architectures, distributed systems and RESTful APIs
• Strong GoLang and Java skills
• Knowledge of Docker and/or server-less
• Team player capable of working independently while mentoring and assisting other team members
• Experience in cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Ambitious in the field of computer science and capable of learning new concepts, technologies, programming languages, and software development lifecycles.
• Demonstrate cross-functional knowledge and ability to thrive in a highly complex, fast paced, lean, and agile environment.

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software design and development
