JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop software using C/C++/Python in a RHEL Linux environment
• Design and implement software for large-scale command and control systems
• Troubleshoot and report software anomalies
• Work in a team environment
• Apply agile development practices and techniques to adapt rapidly to changing requirements and schedules
• Document test results for corrective actions
• Occasional travel to Colorado Springs, CO

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a US citizen
• Must be able to obtain a DoD TS security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study with a minimum of eight (8) years of related work experience (will consider a combination of formal education and related work experience in lieu of degree)
• Proficiency developing and testing software in a Linux environment
• Excellent trouble-shooting skills
• C/C++

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Messaging servers (examples: Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, WebSphereMQ, ZeroMQ, GMSEC, etc)
• Virtualization and cloud technologies (examples: AWS, OpenStack, VMware, RHEV, etc)
• Web technologies (examples: HTML, CSS, React, REST, JSON, WildFly, etc)
• Satellite Ground Systems, Ground System Operations, or Satellite Operations
• Writing scripts (examples: shell scripting, python, PERL, etc)
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Software configuration management tools (examples: git, BitBucket, Jira, etc)
• Interacting with databases (examples: MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, etc)
