Senior Software Engineer

Tyler Technologies is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer in Plano, TX to perform the following job duties:

• Participate in analyzing, designing, writing and testing code, documenting and implementing functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated application systems. Participate in new application development and existing system enhancements by coding system features according to system designs. Maintain existing application programs by fixing bugs or clearing up operational deficiencies in both previously released software and software slated for future release. Assure program, module and system integrity through thorough testing and adherence to company standards and procedures. Utilize new technologies and tools to modify products and provide integration with applications developed internally and externally. Prepare and modify program and system documentation. Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Comp Sci, Electronics Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg or a closely related field, or a foreign equivalent and 4 years of experience in the following: software development with database technology, .NET or C#, or similar high-level language such as Java, Javascript, Ruby, C++, SQL Server 2000 or 2005 or higher, DHTML, XML or XSD or XSLT, and Visual Basic 6.

• May have to work at various unanticipated locations throughout the United States.
