At a Glance:

H&P's Technology Solutions drives the development of advanced technologies and directional drilling automation solutions to help customers achieve greater reliability and improve well performance. As a Software Engineer you would be focused on cloud-based technology pushing the limits of the oil & gas industry.

Location: Denver, CO or Dallas, TX

Work Type: Hybrid or Remote

This position is expected to be filled in a work location that is within the states of Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma or Texas.

What you will do:

• Design and develop high-performance REST APIs using Java and JavaScript platforms.
• Implement best practices for code quality, including writing unit tests.
• Recommend technologies and tools best suited for the application.
• Engage with customers and other stakeholders to elicit software requirements.
• Participate in agile ceremonies like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in Java and JavaScript platforms.

What you need:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering and application development.
• Strong knowledge of either Java and JavaScript with NodeJS
• Spring Boot, REST APIs / JSON experience required.
• Microservices experience required.
• Strong understanding of database design, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Agile Development Practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Not a must, but a plus

• Have experience or knowledge working with Node.js.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, CI/CD Pipelines.
• Have familiarity with HTML5, and CSS3.
• Have familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud environments.

Salary Guidelines:

$120,000 - $198,000

• May be eligible for a bonus incentive
