Our team is looking for a Software Engineer with experience developing across the full application stack and is passionate about code craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and agile development.
You will work on projects which leverage technology to drive solutions, empowerment, and execution across the workforce through an effortless experience.
We are looking for you to bring a creative and motivated work ethic to tackle new problems and innovating solutions.
Your day to day:
- Write code! Build enterprise applications to help customers
- Collaborate with the team in an agile environment to deliver innovative, quality code iteratively
- Work independently and with other engineers to design and develop tactical processes to create solutions that provide an effortless experience to the business.
- Develop multi-tiered software applications with detailed documentation and effective monitoring.
- Utilize functional design and analytics to design and implement both front-end and back-end infrastructure with security, performance and reliability at the forefront.
- Use PayPal tools, operational procedures, site and solution architecture to enhance the ability for monitoring of operations.
- Take responsibility for the operability of the component being developed and proactively take ownership of related defects.
- Implement and design products so they can withstand changes in product rules, utilization loads and technology environments without redesign.
- Demonstrate thought leadership in solving technical problems.
- Learn new technologies quickly to keep up with the changing industry.
- Demonstrate understanding of technical difficulty of delivering product ideas and of the technology stack.
What do you need to bring:
- 5-7 years' experience in Full Stack software development working with Java and React
- 5+ years of API Development experience and solid knowledge of REST
- Experience with Relational Databases and SQL
- Experience with automated test frameworks and CI/CD Pipelines
- Understanding of HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP protocols.
- Strong desire to learn, collaborate, succeed through collective team efforts
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) & Agile/Scrum process and fundamentals
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
- Preferred Technology and Tools - Node.js, Kraken, Server Utilities, JS Frameworks, Javascript, Java
- BS in computer science or equivalent
