Senior Software Engineer

Aspen Capital is currently seeking a full stack Senior Software Engineer. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work with a talented team of engineers to improve Aspen's enterprise business software and analytics frameworks. You'll help to build secure, scalable, and fast tools to make processing data, generating analytics, and reporting within our teams seamless and easy. This position will be an anchor tech lead for our New York office.

Day to day you will

• Contribute to the definition, architecture, and design of software components, solution designs, tools, and tests.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of business applications
• Debug production issues
• Help coach and grow our team professionally
• Set and maintain high quality standards for the team's work
• Communicate risks and plans to mitigate them
• Contribute to a culture of team accomplishment and collaboration.
• Understand deeply how business drivers impact our priorities and planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
• 5+ years demonstrated experience deploying web applications in AWS or a major cloud provider
• Have a strong command of distributed systems and modern data processing architectures
• Ability to take a project from requirements gathering through launch
• Strong data modeling and SQL skills
• Experience with Databases such as Redshift, Postgres, SQL Server in Azure/AWS
• Experience with Java, Vue.js/React, Node.js
• Proven success coaching less senior team members
• Have proven and recent experience leading projects

Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000 USD per year

The base salary range represents the low and the high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, education and performance. The range listed is just one component of the company's total compensation package for staff. Other rewards can include annual bonuses, stock awards and region specific benefits.
