Senior Software Engineer

About the Position:

Our client, a leading provider of high-performance materials, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Integration Team. The role involves working closely with the Enterprise Integration Lead within the Enterprise Data & Analytics department to develop and support IoT solutions on Azure. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing requirements, creating designs, and developing solutions, as well as providing hands-on design and development expertise and technical abilities to deliver quality IoT solutions.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related study and a minimum of five years' experience leading a technical design, build, and deploy integration team. Additionally, candidates must have at least five years of experience in IoT integration, with a deep knowledge of Azure IoT Edge, IoT security, and L2 communication protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-performance materials manufacturing, although this is not required.

Requirements:

Our client is seeking a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation. The candidate must possess the ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. The candidate should have experience working with connected devices and a strong understanding of software updates, messaging, cloud platforms, and containerization technologies like Docker. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in implementing IoT solutions using Azure IoT Edge, L2 communication protocols, Agile methodologies, Git source code management, Test-Driven development, and integration testing. Knowledge and awareness of IoT gateways products, agents, sensors, and devices is also preferred. Experience with Azure PaaS, .NET, C#, and Python is a plus.
