Description

UKG is looking for a passionate Technical Java Lead Developer with a wide range of application development experience who can think strategically and operate tactically to be able to deliver an Enterprise product of UKG. As a Technical Java Lead Developer at UKG, you will work with product managers, architects, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement solutions consistent with the business objective. You will have the opportunity to leverage your abilities and experience in the following:

You will,

• Contribute to technical efforts by coordinating the technical team members to align and ensure the integrity and quality of the final solution • Contribute to development of enterprise-scale Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) software utilizing SaaS design principles • Develop cutting-edge solutions to maximize performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities • Work independently and collaboratively to coordinate and implement solutions to complex technical issues • Collaborate with stakeholders outside of the team to align and achieve expected outcomes • Identify and refactor areas of functional and architectural improvement • Participate in the Implementation of departmental improvements in process/technical solutions with positive measurable results • Contribute to the design and estimation of new features

Qualifications

About you,

Preferred Qualifications :

• 5+ years' of experience in Software Engineering, using Java • Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equal experience • Experience engaging with software/test engineers on Java enterprise-level software development • Experience with OOP, Data Structures and Algorithms with object-oriented design and development • Experience with event-driven Microservices • Knowledge or experience with SaaS design principles and solutions • Experience with the development of API's and Web Services • Ability to code SQL statements • Knowledge or experience with Spring, Kubernetes, Jenkins

Secondary :

• Agile or Lean Software Development experience (Kanban or Scrum, etc.) • Knowledge or experience with Splunk, DataDog and/or Dynatrace is a plus but not required • Experience with Nginx, AngularJS, node, Javascript is a plus
