Senior Software Engineer
Job Description
High Alpha is hiring key team members for a new B2B SaaS startup in Indianapolis. This position will be with High Alpha’s latest company, which is pre-public launch. You’ll work closely with the internal High Alpha team while reporting directly to the CTO. About this role:Are you passionate about technology, building innovative software, and creative problem-solving? Are you looking for a role where you can deliver immediate impact with the software you create? We are seeking Full Stack engineers who are looking to innovate and build a new product that will unleash customer Champions. As an early addition to the team, you will immediately collaborate and be influential in helping define the technical stack and solve business problems in order to deliver a high-value product. The ideal candidate is proficient in TypeScript, Node, Python, and microservice event-driven cloud architecture. Â
What You’ll Do:You will be an integrated member of the cross-functional development team. You will be a part of building our user-facing web application and the backend that powers it. We will work together to define the early-stage product and the processes and procedures that guide how we work as a team. Responsibilities include:
- Build across the stack using Typescript, Node, Python with the ability to quickly learn new technologies as decisions are made
- Collaborate with other engineers to design highly-performant services
- Mentor other engineers through informal discussions and code reviews
- Refine ideas and roadmap items into actionable work
- Advocate for extensible & secure software patterns
- 3-5+ years developing software professionally on a team
- Experience with languages like Typescript, Node, React, Python, Java and the ability to quickly pick up new technology as technical decisions are still being made
- Hands-on experience with Cloud (AWS/Google Cloud), Microservices, REST APIs, and API Development
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience writing unit tests and integration tests
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting
Compensation:
- $120k - $140k annual salary based on experience
