Job Description

Torch Technologies has an immediate need for Senior Software Engineers and analyst at all stages in their careers. These positions are fully funded and multiple positions are available.

In this role you will be working in a team environment. You will be expected to communicate openly and effectively, and be proactive to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. This position requires a knowledge of coding and an enthusiasm for learning.

Primary task include:

• Writing software for simulation,
• Developing scripts to process data,
• Optimize code for distributive and/or parallel processing,
• Execution of existing models and simulations to support analysis,
• Analyzing data against results to verify software

JOB REQUIREMENTS

This is a multi-level requisition: Minimum requirements are:

• 15+ plus years of experience,
• BS Degree in a technical related field. (CE, EE, ME, Aerospace, CS, Physics),
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
• Proficiency in C++, Java, or Python,
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux environments,
• Knowledge of software development processes.

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications for experienced applicants:

• Experience developing simulations and/or distributed systems
• Experience in modeling and simulation, hardware and real-time software
• Experience with system of system simulations
• Networking, TCP/IP, UDP experience
• Experience with databases (e.g. SQL)
• Strong coding skills
• Experience with FORTRAN and/or Ada
• Link 16 knowledge or experience
• Experience with Military Standards (MIL-STD) documents
• Experience with simulation verification and validation
• Strong background in mathematics or physics
