Senior Software Engineer, Accounts & Identity

Autonomic’s open, cloud-based platform — the Transportation Mobility Cloud — will connect the diverse components of urban mobility systems — connected vehicles, mass transit, pedestrians, city infrastructure and service providers — with the goal of orchestrating a safer, more efficient and sustainable transportation network.

About Our Accounts & Identity Team 

The Accounts and Identity team at Autonomic builds the system that manages customer access, and protects APIs. We build, extend, and maintain a system which implements fine-grained access control and manages identity for our end-users. We provide tools for customers to write access control policies and audit every access event on the platform. You'll help customers securely manage and delegate access to connected vehicles, software artifacts, and other resources which facilitate vehicle connectivity. You'll work with a system that is central to the Autonomic platform.

Job Description 

• Build great software in a dynamic startup environment
• Build high performance distributed systems which solve large-scale engineering challenges
• Build transportation microservices in Java
• Design, architect, and build stream processing systems which deal with unbounded data
• Design, build, and deploy software using technologies such as Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, gRPC, Rest
• Participate in all aspects of the product life cycle: conceptual design, development, deployment, and operations.
• Acquire deep understanding of technologies, services, and architecture of Autonomic’s products
• Facilitate inter-team and cross group collaboration
• Encourage, mentor, and coach members of your team
• Identify, support, and lead cases for change

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of programming experience in a professional environment
• 2+ years of experience with cloud-native architecture, development, and deployment practices
• Experience programming in Java
• Experience working within a distributed engineering team and project management
• Demonstrated ability to organize and deliver major software projects
• Strong written and verbal skills

Preferred Qualifications/ Nice to have

• Knowledge of IAM concepts: SSO, OAuth2, and fine-grained access control
• Experience with components of our tech stack: Spring, Kubernetes, GCP, Postgres, Redis, ElasticSearch, gRPC, Kafka
• Experience wrangling unbounded streaming data
