Senior Software Engineer Activation & Engagement

The Role

The Activation and Engagement team sits at the core of Loom’s business strategy — as a product-led growth organization, this team is focused on enabling more users to discover and adopt video messaging in their daily work lives. You’ll work cross-collaboratively to create beautiful experiences that teach users how they can use video messaging, permanently changing the way they communicate and make Loom a habit.

Responsibilities

• You will build new features end-to-end: through conception, exploration, iteration, maintenance, and polish
• You will own the products that you build and become the domain expert on those subjects within the organization
• Set technical direction, create tools, and develop systems which empower other engineers to amplify their impact and velocity
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data to build features in support of the product strategy

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional JavaScript experience
• A track record of shipping widely-used products with high-quality user interfaces using React or similar UI frameworks
• Willingness to dive into large, complex systems (e.g. Notifications, Experimentation platform)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Enthusiasm for high-quality code that is documented and well-tested
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy
