THE TEAM

We have an established but growing team under the marketplace roof which is working on the development of our platform and setting the grounds of our transition from monolith to microservices. Our teams are based both in Vietnam and Germany, so in this role as a Senior Software Engineer (PHP), you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues in other countries in this role.

SCOPE OF ROLE

• You will work in a team developing our marketplace platform that serves over 10,000 fashion brands over the world 
• Contribute to the growth of the team by sharing your knowledge in software design and best practices
• Proactively apply your analytical and critical thinking to our business problems, sharing your questions and points of view in our in depth grooming sessions
• You will participate in the design and execution of fundamental architectural leaps in the core of our business
• Investigate the latest technologies to improve site reliability, developer experience and raw performance

HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED

• We need you to help us scale our marketplace platform to match the demands of the increased eCommerce
• Your opinion counts in how we will design our new APIs and microservice architecture
• In the big picture your work will impact the lives of millions of customers shopping in countries all over the world

WHAT IT TAKES

• Very good level of English and proactive approach is a must
• Demonstrated experience with PHP 8, Symfony and MySQL
• Good problem solving skills, including concurrency, distributed transactions, parallelism problems. 
• You can switch from talking with Product Owners and back with fellow engineers with no effort
• You believe in improving every piece of code that falls into your hands, by default
• You have 5+ years of experience with high-traffic distributed systems and client-server architectures
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and experience in a microservice environment is a plus
• You raise the bar for all aspects of engineering in project, you are the one who help colleagues become better.
