Viz Flowics is the most comprehensive cloud-based platform powering remote and in-studio production of live graphics and interactive content for linear and digital broadcasters.

Our SaaS platform enable customers to add graphics layers of interactivity to live content with easy creation of multi-platform experience for social media, broadcast, streaming websites, apps or in venue displays.

We currently have an opening for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend), based in Argentina and can be remote.

About the role/Description

• You know general software development, with a focus on back-end development.
• You have the ability to design and develop new product functionality with creativity and resourcefulness.
• You will support in determining requirements for features.
• You will Identify implicit and specific feature requirements.
• Supports in assessing the possible consequences of interrelated changes upon product design and performance.
• Identifies test requirements, produces testing strategies to address requirements.
• Collaborate with our support team as the last level of escalation for tickets.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes for them.
• Hands on development of applications and services.

Requirements

• You have at least 5 years of experience
• Studying for or Computer Science Degree attained, preferred.
• You have experience with Modern Java
• You have experience with services over HTTP/2+JSON+AVRO representations, and Reactive/Real-Time data processing.
• You know a mixture of data stores: Apache Kafka, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Redis, S3. Kubernetes (with CI/CD pipeline integration). New Relic, Grafana and lots of monitoring tools that support decisions.
• Experience with software development best practices such as unit testing.
• Willingness to take responsibility for the software you write all the way to production.
• Analytical person who likes data-driven decisions.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment, where requirements may not be defined in high detail.
• Can work independently on technical tasks.
