MMC Canada is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Mexico City office and be onsite 3 days a week.:

Senior Software Engineer (Back End)

We will count on you to:

• Handels application development using various software technologies.
• Writes programs according to specifications from technical design team.
• Integrates technical components into respective working applications.
• Participates in technical design and review.
• Creates and performs quality and system tests as required; ensures code quality and system analysis.
• Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them.
• Resolves issues and makes recommendations for improvements and enhancements.
• Communicates with members of the IT team on a regular basis and may serve as point of contact.
• Reviews code; creates and maintains documents as a part of the solution delivery process.
• Ensures that business standards are met.

What you need to have:

• Min. 5 year in developing web applications using Java, Spring & SQL
• Sound experience with Java
• Strong Knowledge in Struts 1.0, EJB, TopLink, JSP, SOAP/REST, Angular, Spring Boot
• Good understanding of Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Understanding of Weblogic and hosting
• Experience on REST API’s and web services, and ability to troubleshoot stack, UI, REST, Backend, Cache layer, Database
• Ability to write SQL queries (Oracle or any other RDBMS database).
• Good understanding of JavaScript
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JSON
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent experience with debugging skills (standard and non standard methods)
• Excellent programming attitude on data structures and algorithms

What makes you stand out?

• Exposure to Microservices, APIGEE, OpenAPI
• Selenium experience or any other automation tool
• Knowledge on Scrum
• Experience with various tools such as ADO, Jenkins, Confluence, Git / Bitbucket
