Group/Division
The Instruments Group is passionate about development of state-of-the-art inspection and metrology equipment used in production and research and development environments. Organization is globally located in US, China, and Singapore. We provide critical cost-effective solutions for power electronics, LED, communications, automotive, data storage, and other related nanoelectronics and materials science applications. We partner with our customers to provide state of the art hardware and software to improve yield and lower overall production costs by supplying world-leading inspection, metrology and review systems. In addition to developing valuable product solutions, the group provides support to customers to achieve performance entitlement through sharing and implementation of application BKMs (Best Known Methods).

Analyze software requirements, and design, implement and test system control software for next generation Semiconductor Wafer Review/Inspection machines. Document requirements and design, implement the design, and have documents and code peer reviewed. Responsible for system integration and testing of software, firmware and hardware related to the features being developed. Ensures the systematic conversion of customer/program requirements into a usable consistent application.

Experience must include:
  • Experience in software development using high-level programming languages such as C++, C# and .Net Framework
  • Proven skills in problem solving, Computer Science fundamentals, Operating System internals, and best software programming practices;
  • Proficiency in frameworks: MFC/C++ and Net/C#
  • Demonstrable work experience with Object-Oriented software analysis and design using UML;
  • Demonstrable track record working as a software point of contact to work with the hardware and system groups to gather feature requirements, map them to a software design and drive the feature towards completion;
  • Proven experience with programming different types of hardware devices and automation systems (including Motion Control systems);
  • Demonstrable expertise in developing and debugging machine control frameworks, image/data processing and related software applications; Demonstrable experience developing distributed, parallel, and multi-threaded automation software.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with +5 years' work experience, OR Master's degree with +3 years' work experience, OR PhD with 0 years' work experience
