Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (C, C++, Embedded Systems) to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our current systems. Your work will directly impact our client’s ability to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers. Our ideal candidate will possess extensive experience utilizing C, C++, and have a strong understanding of Embedded Systems. They will also need to possess the ability to quickly pick up new languages and technologies as needed. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days on-site and 1 day remote and will be a W-2 Hourly 6 - 9-month contract with possible extension. 

The hourly rate is $ 70/hr. – $ 75/hr. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance, professional development, trainings, our referral bonus program, and our wellness program.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain embedded software systems using C and C++ programming languages.
• Analyze and optimize existing code for memory and processing efficiency.
• Profile and benchmark code to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Implement optimizations to improve the software's performance.
• Refactor and restructure code to enhance readability, maintainability, scalability, and performance. 
• Identify and eliminate code/design flaws.
• Conduct in-depth performance analysis and profiling to identify opportunities for optimization. 
• Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code repositories and collaborate with team members.
• Ensure code is well-documented, versioned, and organized for team use.
• Utilize profiling tools and techniques to assess system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and firmware developers.
• Communicate technical information effectively within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of Software Development Experience with a focus on C/C++.
• 5+ of Embedded C/C++ Software Development on Linux/RTOS.
• Proficiency in version control and CI/CD using Git.
• Familiarity with web application structure, including Restful APIs and JSON/HTTP/HTTPS/JWT.
• Experience in debugging, performance profiling, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of modern OS coding techniques, IP protocols, and hardware interfaces.
• Knowledge of RDK is highly desired.
