About this role

We are looking for a Chrome extension expert to support and expand our extremely popular Chrome extension. The extension is customers’ first exposure to our AI-powered Scribe recorder and is critical to Scribe’s mission to make documentation a breeze.

You can expect to:

• Make important architectural decisions on a new team
• Implement compelling, AI-powered features to drive customer passion
• Collaborate with other teams to optimize the Chrome extension
• Improve stability of the extension through testing automation and bug triage

You could be a great fit if

• You have 5+ years of engineering experience
• You have 2+ years of working on a Chrome extension
• You have 2+ years of experience with React and Typescript
• You’re a strong advocate for automated testing
• You’re self-driven and are great at debugging

Bonus

• Experience with our frontend stack (TypeScript, NextJS, Tailwind, React Query, React Testing Library, Playwright)
• Experience building desktop apps (Avalonia UI, Swift)
• Experience with Python (Django)
• Startup experience (not required, but we build and move fast!)

Compensation

160k-200k USD base + equity

We consider several factors when determining compensation, including location, experience, and other job-related factors.
