Senior Software Engineer - Computer Vision and Remote Sensing
Job Description
In this role, you will work in a team-oriented group of algorithm developers, applied scientists, and software developers to create, modularize and optimize Python and C++-based software solutions. You will work on a cutting-edge Computer Vision pipeline that processes satellite imagery to automatically create realistic, textured 3D geometric models of real-world scenes.
Senior Software Engineer - Computer Vision and Remote Sensing Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate within our cross-functional teams of scientists and engineers to implement advanced algorithm pipelines and the supporting infrastructure
- Contribute to code reviews, sprint planning, and technical roadmap planning
- Identify opportunities to optimize system performance
Senior Software Engineer - Computer Vision and Remote Sensing Qualifications:
- US citizenship required(green card holders are not eligible for this position)
- Eligibility to apply for and hold a U.S. security clearance (selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements at the time of employment)
- Hands-on experience building solutions for large-scale data infrastructure, crafting and architecting distributed systems, high throughput applications, concurrent programming, and coding data structures
- Fluent in one or more object-oriented programming languages; C++ and/or Python preferred
- Proficiency in writing production-level Python code, including distributed and networking packages, and test frameworks such as pytest and tox
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting environments
- Understanding of query algorithms and optimization
- Experience with modern professional agile software engineering practices
- Bonus: experience with DevOps (CI, CD, automation strategies, etc.)
Senior Software Engineer - Computer Vision and Remote Sensing Education and Experience Qualifications:
- B.S.degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field with 7-9 years of relevant experience OR M.S. with 5-7 years of relevant experience OR Ph.D. with 3-5 years of relevant experience
