Unite Us is looking for Senior Software Engineers on a contract basis to build infrastructure as Code (IaC) and deployment tooling for our development teams. We desire passionate persons with experience building and maintaining web applications who are excited about building a product that helps real people get the social services they need. You will solve difficult and ambiguous business and technology problems. You value simplicity and are willing to challenge technical constraints to achieve a solid design. You will always be expanding your industry knowledge, especially as it relates to technology platform capabilities for social care platforms integrating with other healthcare technology systems.

• Contribute to and drive the development of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) automation in Jenkins and Terraform.

• Deep understanding of SDLC automation, preferably with experience in Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Be able to build systems that are simple, testable, maintainable, and scalable.
• Deeply versed in modern web technologies.
• Deep command of modern programming languages
• Be able and willing to write tests for the systems we build and maintain
• Comfortable working in a Unix environment.
• Open, communicative and like working in small teams.
• Fluent in speaking and writing English.
• Passion for high quality.

• 2+ years of experience in building deployment automation for web services.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, Python/Django, or other similar languages and MVC frameworks commonly used when building APIs.
• 5+ years of experience working with SDLC automation tools (i.e. Jenkins or equivalent), IaC tools (i.e. Terraform or equivalent), and containerization tools (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or equivalent). 
• Experience working in Agile teams, particularly remotely. Experience with Scrum would be very valuable.
• Ability to define acceptance criteria on technical tasks and to substantiate progress in written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with technology requirements for HIPAA compliance.

• This position location is remote, US based
• Target range: This is a 6 month contract based on 40 hours per week at a rate of $100 per hour.
