What You'll Do
You'll get to work within a large-scale data ecosystem domain. Your skills will be applied to dozens of platforms leading automation, self-heal and other optimization initiatives. Other responsibilities will include:
• Working as a member of a DevOps Agile team with full ownership of custom applications
• Driving innovation and improving efficiencies through design, development, and automation.
• Collaborating with other technology teams for proper delivery and deployment
• Working within the team to ensure company coding and security standards are being met.
• Owning some level of design decisions for application changes, bug fixes, tech updates, etc.
• Participating in all development life cycle activities.
• Leading software and infrastructure projects in partnership with other teams
• Partnering and participating in application-level design sessions for all of Technology
• Working to constantly improve the customer experience and performance of our applications.

Minimum:
• A BS/BA in computer science engineering or other IT/ technical degree with 4+ years of experience
o OR a master's degree and 2+ years of experience
o OR a Ph.D. and 1+ years of experience
o OR 16+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with the development of Enterprise Java Applications, both front and back end
• Experience with high level and low-level designing for applications
• Knowledge of (and experience with) the software development lifecycle, continuous integration and delivery, agile, version control, release management and automated migration leveraging tools like Jenkins and Ansible.
• Experience with application containers and microservices
• Experience within a technology development, delivery and operations team for at least 5 years.
• Familiarity with the Linux operating system.
Preferred:
• 7+ years of experience as a software programmer or software engineer.
• 5+ years of experience within the data domain space as a developer/engineer.
• Experience in traditional, wireline telephone
• Experience as a DevOps Software engineer or Developer
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience leveraging agile delivery models.
• Domain expertise or subject matter expert in leading, designing and architecting modern data ingestion, data processing and data storage techniques and patterns.
• Experience in developing event streaming data pipeline leveraging technologies like kafka and ActveMQ
• A master's degree in an Information technology related field.
• 3+ years of experience in multi-petabyte, high volume and mission critical data platforms and services environment.
• Experience in, Java, and Python programming languages.
• Experience with open-source data related projects.
• 3+ years working with cloud providers like AWS, Google, and Azure with data-related technologies.
