Senior Software Engineer - Digital Wealth Management Platform

Job Description Responsibilities:
- Accountable for building investment experience APIs/data stack for Wealth Management platforms.
- Working with architecture and design leads across own organization and broader JPMC organization on business and technical architecture of the platform.
- Conducting hands on POCs to prove concepts/products
- Migration to internal and external clouds
- Migration to Microservices architectures and patterns
- Evaluating open source and vendor products
- Leading small group of developers/scrum team
- Able to design distributed applications.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years as software engineer in Java/J2EE/Spring ecosystem
- Experience working on large scale software projects with dozens of teams to build internet scale systems from scratch
- Experience building APIs at internet scale using Java/Spring frameworks with ability to work at code level, and with tuning high volume applications
- Strong HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced financial services/digital focused delivery environment on high volume, mission critical applications
- Experience with Test Driven Development, Behavior Driven Development and other software engineering practices that drive support/agility in software delivery
- Experience working in a large scale Agile environment preferable using a formal scaled Agile framework
- Experience with unit testing tools like jUnit, mock testing tools like mockito and build tools like Maven, Gradle.
- Experience with multiple database platforms (RDBMS, NoSQL)
- Knowledge of Kubernetes to deploy scale, load balance and manage docker containers.
- Good understanding of architecture principles and patterns relevant to design of internet scale systems supporting customer facing platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
- DDD (domain driven design)
- Kafka, NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB)
- Experience on cloud engineering including Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS.
