We’re looking for a senior software engineer to join the Experiment team within Amplitude. As an infrastructure engineer, you will help build the core platform for a rapidly evolving product in a new, fast growing market. You will be responsible for the development of better workflows, methods of analysis, and monitoring capabilities for experimentation and feature management, to enable our customers to rapidly iterate on their product development. You will work with modern technologies on AWS such as DynamoDB, Redis/ElastiCache, Kafka, and Kubernetes, and write code in Java and Python. You will collaborate and share your ideas with a group of similarly innovative and curious engineers.

 As a Senior Software Engineer, you will: 

• Take new product ideas from ideation to implementation.
• Develop backend services that expand the capabilities of our experimentation and feature management product
• Integrate with backend services and build out methods for experiment analysis, monitoring, and feature development workflows.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to iterate on our product
• Lead engineering discussions and mentor others on engineering best practices.
• Participate in design and code reviews.

You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:

• Several years of experience working in a Software Engineering role
• Experience with Python or Java
• Strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and software application design
• Passionate about solving challenging problems and iterating quickly
• Previous experience in experimentation or A/B testing is a plus
• Technical leadership of an engineering team is a plus
