We are a small team that has a lot of impact. You will own significant feature development and collaborate with multiple teams like Design, Product, Credit Risk, Operations, QA, Compliance, and Marketing to define, design, and ship features.
Responsibilities:
- Design, code, and maintain components of our mobile/web applications
- Actively participate in the entire software lifecycle, including hands-on development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation
- Work closely with product managers and designers to participate in ideation sessions and define the scope of product features
- Translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions
- Mentor junior team members as necessary
Requirements:
- Design, code, and maintain components of our mobile/web applications
- Actively participate in the entire software lifecycle, including hands-on development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and documentation
- Work closely with product managers and designers to participate in ideation sessions and define the scope of product features
- Translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions
- Mentor junior team members as necessary
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 6+ years of programming experience on a modern technology stack
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS/LESS
- Strong knowledge of React JS and React Native for mobile
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership
- Experience driving projects from zero to one and one to many
- Bias for solving problems and shipping impactful features into production
- Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, reviewing and refining designs with peers, doing code reviews, and managing pull requests
- Turning UI designs (e.g., from Figma) to maintainable code
- Experience creating and maintaining unit tests
- Nice to haves
- Full-stack experience
- Knowledge of security and encryption techniques and approaches
- Experience using GraphQL
- Experience working in fintech or other financial services
This is a remote role in a distributed environment. The person in this role should expect to travel once a quarter.
