We are seeking passionate engineers with at leastĀ 4Ā years of experience delivering innovative software solutions that are scalable, secure, and easy to maintain. The ideal candidate thrives in team settings, enjoys pair programming, andĀ focuses onĀ delivering value.Ā Ā Ā
We are a full stack shop and our primary web applications are React + Ruby on RailsĀ + Node.js/Typescript.Ā Ā
- Design, implement, and maintain data-driven web applications Ā
- Mentor members of the development team on internal and external frameworks, software development best practices, and new technologies
- Be able to gather requirements and plan actionable tasks for the team
- Collaborate with Forgeās product, design, information security and business team members
- Design, build and maintain automated unit and integration tests
- Develop concise, articulate and detailed documentationĀ
- Support healthy system operations and ensure high levels of availability are achieved. Be part of the on-call rotation during business hours
- Bachelorās degree in Computer Science, Engineering, orĀ equivalent years of working experience in theĀ field.Ā
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Experience developing with Ruby on Rails, or Node.js/TypescriptĀ
- Experience developing multi-tier web applications using modern techniques
- ProvenĀ track-recordĀ of teamwork and deliveryĀ
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time in an office setting or in a home office setting while working
- Experience developing in React is a plusĀ
- Experience with Event-Driven architectures a big plusĀ Ā
- Fintech or Financial services industry experienceĀ
- Experience with multiple programming languagesĀ Ā
- Experience mentoring junior software engineersĀ
- Experience at high-growth, venture-backed startupsĀ
- Working knowledge of the private marketĀ
- Working knowledge of financial regulators and their concernsĀ
