Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

Virtasant is a leading cloud consulting services provider. We heavily focus on lift & shift, cloud-native development, cloud cost optimization, and migration services. As a consulting company, we often are faced with the challenge to create an engineering team in a matter of a week or two. To do that, we have created a secondary support business that runs an engineering talent network and provides staffing services.

Our client is a leading provider of pay equity platforms and analytics and they are looking for two Senior Software Engineers, Frontend to join the Frontend engineering team and collaborate on challenges at a fast-paced startup. Customer success hinges on high-quality platform and application development. You will deliver scalable engineering solutions and transform thoughtful, consistent designs into world-class applications and user experiences that ensure customers meet their workplace equity and fairness goals. 

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with senior and staff engineers to design and develop small to mid-size features and services delivered to the client's end users.
• Implement pragmatic approaches to building enterprise software on a flexible and modern UI framework to deliver a high quality experience to our enterprise customers.
• Work closely with cross-functional (backend, product, design, QA, site reliability) teams to propose, evolve, and develop a user experience that makes lasting workplace equity possible for customers.
• Focus on secure coding practices and maintainability to ensure new feature implementations fit the needs of a growing engineering organization.

Required Skills

• Advanced experience designing and building high volume, scalable applications
• Depth of experience using React and Typescript to build web applications
• Proficient with CSS, RTK Query, Redux, and Data Visualization Libraries
• Competent in common front-end build pipelines and tools (we use Babel, Webpack, NPM)
• Strong working knowledge of current testing methodologies, including unit testing and end to end testing (our client uses React Testing Library and Cypress)
• Strong experience leveraging current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability
• Good communication skills that enable you to interface with both technical and non-technical teams
• Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional roles in a highly collaborative environment
