Senior Software Engineer (Frontend), Integrations

In August 2020, Cisco Systems completed the acquisition of ThousandEyes, which now forms the ThousandEyes Business Unit within Cisco’s Network Services Business Group, and is a foundational component of Cisco’s growing Observability business.

Alerts and Integrations is one of the core infrastructure teams building a scalable platform to provide our customers actionable insights and notifications when they need them the most. We also provide a platform for integrations of our data with 3rd party channels like PagerDuty, Slack, ServiceNow, and webhooks. The data our platform provides can be seamlessly transferred into customized workflows of our customers and partners to suit their business needs. 

Senior Frontend Engineer, is a pivotal role that will help build next generation UI for the alerts platform. In this role, you will be responsible for building data visualizations and intuitive UI workflow for user actions associated with alerts. You will contribute towards building a new integration platform. This platform will provide customers an ability to define custom webhook templates and build integrations with any service/technology natively used by them. 

What we're looking for:

• Expertise in frontend development using modern Javascript frameworks, such as Vue.js, Redux, and ReactJS
• 4+ years of software development experience
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals and object-oriented design skills 
• a highly independent and entrepreneurial minded engineer 
• Experience working in a fast-paced development environment 
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
• Familiarity with one or more backend web frameworks, preferable those in Java, such as Spring Framework is a plus
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud technologies (AWS, GCP) is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
