Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

Basic Description:
The Senior Software Developer, plays a leading role on our Information Technology team to further develop and support our evolving suite of in-house intelligent software tools and web applications all which serve our evolving business operations. A successful candidate will be a full-stack engineer who is a critical thinker, a professionally kind collaborator, a results-oriented leader, a full-stack development guru, and a proven problem solver who works well leading teams under pressure with often competing deadlines.
This is an opportunity to help lead and inspire our team at a senior level, apply your advanced .NET C#, SQL/Database, and web development skills in an Agile and entrepreneurial team environment, and make a difference in our broader organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze ongoing business problems and help to design technical software solutions to those problems.
- Help to build custom software applications and web applications which may interact with our retailers, marketplaces, distributors, order systems, customer service systems, inventory systems, and/or shipping systems.
- Help to identify and resolve bugs occurring in software and web applications.
- Analyze current software solutions and build enhancements to improve those solutions.
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
- Lead and mentor junior software engineers and provide guidance on advanced software development practices, all while doing great work yourself.
- Develop and maintain software development documentation, including user manuals and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with senior management on building, implementing, and helping with the adoption of new technical solutions.
Requirements
Basic Requirements:
- Education: BS or higher in Computer Science or related field of study.
- 5+ years proven industry experience in C# .NET software development.
- A deep desire to resolve complex business problems with creative and well architected technical solutions.
- Deep understanding of software development fundamentals in object-oriented design.
- Verifiable ability to lead, inspire, and coach technical teams.
- Proficiency with cross-browser HTML and CSS programming, JavaScript, JQuery, MVC, WCF, WPF, and WebForms.
- Understanding of Microsoft Windows services, web services, SOAP, or XML file exchange.
- Advanced proficiency with MS SQL, MySQL, and/or MongoDB databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with software collaboration, project management, or other digital project management tools.
- Extensive experience in and around Git version control.
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
- Extremely organized, have an obsessive attention to detail, and a thirst to multi task.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project.
- Experience in communicating with users and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
- Intermediate technical skills in PHP and/or Linux server management.
Benefits
Pay range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year.
This is a full-time position that reports daily to our Westlake Village, CA headquarters.
