Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Our team is rapidly growing and looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support our customer and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers. We enjoy the challenges of human-centered design, security, and scale to create better outcomes for our federal agency partners. We are a remote-first and work completely in the open source.

About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a focus on front-end to join our dynamic and innovative tech team. This role involves developing high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software that complies with our coding standards and technical design. The successful candidate will drive design and implementation while leading a team of junior engineers. Our team values creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to quality and will require the candidate to leverage their knowledge of user-centric design, development, testing, and software deployment.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience performing activities in at least two of the following programming languages: Go, Node.js, Java, JavaScript, & Python
• Proven experience with at least two of the following application frameworks: React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, CSS, & HTML, Material UI
• Demonstrated knowledge of at least two of these backend technologies: Postgres, Redis, Trino, OpenSearch
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Proficient in the breakdown of user requirements and the design and implementation of an end-to-end solution
• Obtain Security+ within 90 days of employment with Raft
• Ability to travel periodically

Highly preferred:

• A strong background in UI/UX design principles
• Extensive experience with local servers and/or cloud services such as AWS, as well as deployment tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role within a software development team
• Proven ability to guide a team through the complete software development life cycle (SDLC), including but not limited to: conception, design, testing, and maintenance
• Demonstrated experience in agile methodologies

Clearance Requirements:

• Active Top Secret US Security Clearance
