Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack - Test Experience

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for helping enable our product and infrastructure to scale with our business, and work on complex projects across our technical stack. Your past experience will be leveraged to enable and accelerate Vanta’s growth.

At Vanta, the Test Experience team plays a pivotal role in our mission to ensure the highest standards of security and compliance for our customers. We own the full lifecycle of one of the most critical features on the Vanta platform - Tests. This feature gives our customers unparalleled visibility into their compliance posture, streamlines the collection of audit evidence, and provides actionable steps to resolve any issues. The Test Experience team is responsible for the complete lifecycle of Tests, from configuration and execution to managing and leveraging test outcomes within our security monitoring platform.

We are currently focusing on exciting opportunities including:

• Scaling our execution infrastructure

• Building the next generation of test customization

• Utilizing AI and guided UI flows to enable better test remediation

What you’ll do as a Senior Software Engineer at Vanta:

• Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to enable our business and team to scale

• Design, develop, and own new product functionality leveraging modern frameworks and tooling (TypeScript, React, Node.js)

• Set direction for critical technical surface areas, enabling us to solve major platform scalability opportunities 

• Influence architecture for next generation execution infrastructure

• Drive initiatives to increase operational posture and execution quality across the engineering organization

• Play a part in defining Vanta's engineering culture as we grow

How to be successful in this role:

• Have at least 5 years of industry experience

• Have experience with front end development, technologies, and frameworks

• Have driven projects around scaling product infrastructure

• Have played technical leadership roles for teams and/or complex projects

• Have launched greenfield products in close collaboration with users and product managers 

• Have experience working at rapidly scaling startups or large companies with environments that prioritize a bias for action

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The base pay range for this position is $190,000 - $223,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
