Senior Software Engineer (GO / Cloud), Platform

Our products span appliances, mobile apps, and networking, all the way up to cloud-based SaaS/web applications. As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer on our Platform team, your main responsibility will be translating business requirements into high-quality scalable software in AWS. As a member of the Platform team you will have the opportunity to build infrastructure that has a positive impact on all of our products.
WHAT YOU'LL DO (the following is not a complete list of responsibilities)
- Work with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
- Write test-driven, clean, readable, and efficient code to deliver and develop cloud-based application features
- Translate business requirements into high quality, scalable software
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Deploy and debug cloud initiatives as needed
- Clearly document any programming-related information
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Five (5) plus years’ work experience with commercial software development projects
- 3 – 5 years of work experience with cloud-based applications
- Strong skills in Golang
- Experience working with AWS services such as Dynamo, SQS, Fargate, and Lambda
- Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and traffic
- Experience working with GitHub or similar service
- Avid follower of the tech industry and current technology trends
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, team player and good interpersonal skills
BONUS POINTS
- Experience working with GraphQL
- Experience using other languages, especially NodeJS
- Experience with ElasticSearch
- Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
