Position Summary:

Senior Software Engineering Manager, at Perforce is searching for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Helix DAM team. Undertakes complex assignments as part of a team, requiring guided development of new or improved products, or processes. Applies technology principles to specific tasks within area of specialisation. May own small projects / manage small client relationships independently from senior technical experts.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain software applications
• Design and develop distributed systems, ensuring fault tolerance, scalability, and performance
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
• Identify and troubleshoot software defects and performance bottlenecks
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends an apply them to improve software development processes and outcomes
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development methodologies and practices within the team
• May be required to support additional products/brands as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Strong proficiency in configuration management practices and tools
• Solid understanding of modern cloud applications and concepts, such asfault tolerance, scalability, and consistency
• Experience in developing and maintaining software applications in acollaborative team environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand and address complex technical challenges
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work within a cross-functional team
• Very solid and deep Javascript hands-on experience with current/prior knowledge of Ember.JS
• Octane syntax is a plus, but not required (newer Ember syntax)
• At least 5+ years of overall experience
• Proven track record of self-sufficiency, and good eye for detail
• Primarily focused on working alongside a backend developer and existing designs to deliver new features, expand existing and keep the codebase maintainable
• Good communication Core Javascript knowledge (MUST HAVE)
• Self-sufficient and inquisitive Independently being able to understand code, add new features and deliver without much hand-holding
• Octane syntax experience is a plus
• React experience is a plus
