Senior Software Engineer I - edX Marketplace

Your Impact 

As a member of the edX Discovery Squad, you’ll be focused on building features for customer delight. Specifically, you’ll be bringing new capabilities to the edX search and course catalog experience that enable users to have a personalized and engaging experience when learning online.

Your Team

Working closely with Product Management and Product Design, this group leverages both industry research and insights through A/B testing to identify feature areas that help learners engage with course content. This team largely works on the front-end using ReactJS.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Design, develop, and deploy software solutions in ReactJS
• Work with the engineering and product teams to refine project specs
• Learn from your coworkers and share your knowledge with them through tech talks, interest groups, companywide demos, and hackathons
• Diagnose and fix bugs

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

• 4+ years of full-stack development with experience in ReactJS
• Willingness and desire to learn
• A mindset for discovery and growth
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role:

• Experience with Python/Django
• Enthusiasm for Agile/Scrum processes
• Experience with infrastructure of software systems (DevOps / SRE work)

In Colorado, the anticipated base salary for this role is $105,000.00 with potential bonus and equity eligibility. Note: The final compensation for this position may consider factors including the geographic location where the work is performed (candidate’s assigned office) and prior work experience of the candidate.
