Senior Software Engineer II

We are seeking a talented and experienced senior full-stack software engineer to join our Dublin-based International Growth team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive user acquisition, retention, and engagement for our core SurveyMonkey product.

You will

• Write high-quality front-end and back-end code
• Foster a culture of collaboration, testing, code reviews, and mentorship to help the team reach their full potential
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and review experiments
• Use your technical expertise to determine the feasibility and effort required to implement experiments and make proposals to maximize our velocity
• Analyze and interpret experiment results to provide actionable recommendations that can directly impact our business
• Take a leading role in software design discussions, and other team activities to ensure the quality and scalability of our codebase

You have

• 8+ years engineering experience
• The ability to work on scalable and highly performant applications
• Enthusiasm to contribute to a culture of code reviews, collaboration, and mentorship
• Experience with working both front and backend development
• Experience with REST/GraphQL and coding against internal/external services and APIs
• Experience with technologies such as Python, PHP, JavaScript, React, Angular or Vue.JS
• Experience building cloud infrastructure using AWS
• A growth/data mindset in both yourself and in how you approach challenges
• Great communication skills and the ability to work with both co-located engineers, and cross-functional partners
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, real-time decision-making, and responsiveness to problem-solving that put the customer experience first.
