The Role

Fidelity Investments is looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test who is passionate about cutting edge technologies, frameworks, and design patterns. You will be joining a team of engineers focused on engineering testing solutions for Extras Loyalty Program & Customer Experience team within the Emerging Products & Segments product area. You will apply your strong software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve Fidelity investments software solutions. You will also be supporting your team in adopting best practices to ensure we are building the right product and we are building it right. Overall, you will have an appetite for learning, evaluating, and recommending new technologies. Software Engineers at Fidelity Investments pride themselves on their experience, leadership, and ability to establish relationships across teams.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 5+ years experience with a Bachelor's or 3+ years with Master's degree in Computer Science (or closely related field)
  • Experience in Java, JavaScript
  • Experience in test automation (Cypress)
  • Experience with DevOps/Pipelines (Jenkins, uDeploy, LWC, etc.)
  • Cloud experience preferred - Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Focus on the deployment automation and orchestration
  • Assist with code branches, merges, builds pipelines, manage versioning etc.
  • Use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper software engineering and bug prevention strategies, testability and security
  • Actively participate in the development process through writing and maintain application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests
  • Collaborate with team members on improving team's test coverage, release velocity and production health

The Team

The Engineering Excellence & Accessibility (EEA) chapter resides in the Personal Investment (PI) business unit of Fidelity Investments. The EEA chapter's support spans across all of PI and provides domain specialists to squads who develop products with the highest customer quality, security, stability, and experience. The chapter consists of over 245 multi-stacked engineers with a passion around customer experience and with the engineering tool set to seek challenges including: automated testing, performance testing, chaos testing, application cloud migration and management, CI / CD implementation, security testing, and application development.
