Senior Software Engineer, Integrations

• Provide technical leadership in the design, implementation, and maintenance of highly-scalable backend APIs, services, and features of the platform
• Work with product managers, front-end engineers, and product designers to define the product requirements, scope, and business impact.
• Work with software architects and other teams, such as security or infrastructure, to craft technical architecture to enable the substantial scale of the platform.
• Collaborate with other engineers to implement Platform backend features on the roadmap
• Write functional tests to ensure the quality of products.
• Identify and troubleshoot errors and performance issues that occur within our infrastructure.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices.
• Be involved in customer discussions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent major.
• Demonstrated achievements in building best practice APIs across multiple apps for an SOA product; evangelizing API best practices across the company
• Hands on experience with middleware, integration architecture patterns, web services technologies, enterprise messaging patterns, APIs, SOA, ESB, BPM etc.
• Expertise with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Elastic Search, PostgreSQL, Redis and APM tools like Datadog.
• Experience building large-scale SaaS platforms supporting millions of users.
• Knowledge of SQL, relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and other datastores.
• Experience with AWS or other major cloud services.
• Proficient with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or other popular programming languages.
• Strong teammate with excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• Built scalable systems within AWS using NodeJS.
• 6+ years of working experience developing and maintaining backend APIs and services in a production-level environment, leading or managing across teams.
• Experience building integration infrastructure for SaaS/iPaaS applications - like data pipelines, API gateway, API auth gateway, data transformation engine, ETL, bulk APIs, etc.
• A can-do attitude and you drive to overcome obstacles, acting with a sense of urgency because you’re passionate about what you do.
