Senior Software Engineer - Integrity

About the role: 

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Integrity Team, focused on enhancing the safety and reliability of our systems across various content modalities. The ideal candidate will excel at tackling complex challenges, is deeply committed to developing trustworthy software and is comfortable working at a fast pace on a variety of tasks. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to lead, design, build, and implement critical solutions that uphold our high standards of AI safety and integrity. Your responsibilities will also include working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that these systems integrate seamlessly and support the broader goals of our organization. Please note that this role may involve exposure to explicit content and topics, including those of a sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing nature.

Responsibilities:  

• Lead, Design, develop, and maintain robust integrity-based solutions to enhance our detection and enforcement capabilities. Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to create scalable, efficient systems.
• Work collaboratively with peers across different teams to support and enhance a shared technical infrastructure. 
• Mentor junior engineers and peers, setting high standards for code quality and engineering best practices. 
• Write high-quality, maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices. 
• Lead, build and improve tools and platforms that integrate content moderation teams seamlessly into our existing tech stack, enhancing operational efficiency and support.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in leading and developing software solutions for customer-facing platforms.
• Proven record of establishing and promoting a culture of high-quality software development, consistently setting and upholding the highest standards of coding excellence and documentation within the company
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, debug code efficiently, and automate routine tasks to enhance system functionality.
• Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions to varied audiences.
• Strong problem-solving ability and the ability to work in ambiguous and constantly evolving environment
• Proficient in Python, with experience in writing high-quality, maintainable code. Familiarity with additional programming languages is a plus.
• Plus if you have experience working on Trust & Safety / Integrity related areas.
• Plus if you have practical experience in Generative AI space.
