Role Summary
Magna New Mobility is the newest division of Magna International. We are focused on building sustainable mobility solutions for the future. Our team in Troy, Michigan is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer - IoT to help us bring our robots and devices to life!
Key Responsibilities

• The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for executing critical projects and system enhancements with the guidance of the IT Leads and the IT Manager
• Contribute to the solution design of new applications and services and continuously share requirements, design details and options.
• Communicate and present design proposals to developers and team members.
• Evaluation of technologies and product designs with compliance to scientific principles, engineering principles, customer requirements and related specifications
• Support the development of innovative components and modules from the initial concept phase through the complete development process including design engineering, validation, prototyping, testing, and evaluation of the proposed production capable process and business case.
• Contribute to team effort by providing innovative ideas for products and processes and by sharing information with other team members.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• 5+ years of working experience in the software industry and particular experience in Internet of Things
• Experience in continuous integration / continuous delivery software development
• Expertise in a programming language, Python, Java, Go
• Experience working a digital/IoT environment.
• Good skills on java 8, microservices, REST API's, AWS, OAuth 2, event driven architectures.
• Knowledge with container and virtualization techniques: Docker, Kubernetes, Linux namespaces
• Knowledge on API concepts: RPC, REST
• Experience in IoT /Automotive industry
