Senior Software Engineer - Platform

SSCI is looking to fill a Senior Software Engineer - Platform position for software projects relating to autonomous space systems.

*Eligibility for DoD Security Clearance is required for this position.*

Duties

• Help us build platforms and software for Mission Management, Software Factories, highly scaled applications, and Autonomous Spacecraft management
• Lead software development, implementation, testing and support for software systems in ground systems and in space

Requirements

Required Skills/Experience

• 5+ years' experience in complex software systems.
• Expert Proficiency with IDE-based object-oriented programming in C/C++ in Linux environment
• Expert level hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Helm
• Familiar with microservice architectures, Linux and scripting (Bash,Python, etc.)
• Proficiency with Linux ARM and CMake, and embedded system software development
• Expert knowledge of source version controls, build/release tools, CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with cloud systems and architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Desired Skills/Experience

• Experience with DoD Software factories, RMF, SIPRNet, and ATO
• Experience with space systems
• Expert-level knowledge of packaging and securing applications as containers and working in Kubernetes
• Experience with developing and testing embedded software for SmallSats / CubeSats, satellite mission planning, and ground systems
• Experience with Software-in-the-loop, PITL, and / or HITL flatsat testing
