Senior Software Engineer (Python)

At RightHand Robotics, we have a rapidly growing and highly capable engineering team building robotic piece-picking solutions and deploying them around the globe. Our product has to be reliable enough to run non-stop on fleets of robots in the world’s largest warehouses. We’re looking for an experienced software engineer to help drive projects that add new capabilities to our RightPick™ robotics pick-and-place systems. In doing so, they will delve into many different areas of the codebase and work with state-of-the-art algorithms, incorporate new hardware components, and improve the usability, stability, and speed of our platforms. No robotics experience necessary!!!

You will:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain key software components
• Debug complex, real-time, multi-process systems
• Maintain and upgrade programming environments (e.g. python)
• Collaborate with other teams, including hardware and product, to develop and deploy solutions to address customer needs

You have:

• 5+ years of experience using Python in a production environment
• 5+ years of experience working with Linux in a production environment
• 5+ years of working in a team environment
• Leadership experience (team/technical lead, mentoring junior engineers, or other similar)
• Experience working with large, complex, commercial systems (including use of version control, automated testing build tools)
• Strong architecture/design and code review skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

Bonus:

• Experience in Computer Vision and Machine Learning
