About the Role:  

As a Senior Engineer at Mad Mobile, you will play a pivotal role in defining, developing, and delivering innovative solutions that revolutionize the retail and restaurant industries. Your expertise in technical leadership, project management, and collaboration will be essential in driving the success of our engineering projects. 

Role will be located in Tampa, FL. Remote Opportunities are not available at this time. 

In this role you will:  

• Own: Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship. Assign tasks, set goals, and evaluate individual and team performance. 

• Define: As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications across a wide range of technologies 

• Develop: Lead the design and development of engineering solutions or products. Conduct feasibility studies, analyze requirements, and propose innovative and effective engineering solutions. 

• Deliver: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality solutions for our retail and restaurant platform.

• Possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in the relevant engineering field. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Provide technical guidance and support to the team. 

• Successful project outcomes, effective communication, and collaboration. 

• Communicate: With team members, stakeholders, and other departments to ensure project success and timely delivery. 

We are looking for someone who has:  

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in software development and architecture, as well as a deep understanding of building and deploying applications with cutting edge technologies.

• We are looking for a candidate who can combine a strong technical background with strong communication and collaboration skills. 

• Proven experience as a full stack developer, with a solid understanding of programming languages including but not limited to Javascript, Typescript, ReactJS, NodeJS etc. Having a familiarity with NestJS is preferred. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. 

• Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum. 

• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies. 

• Passion for problem solving and always looking at ways to improve our applications. 

Key skills needed to be successful in the role: 

• Typescript programming language and associated frameworks. 

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. 

• Proficiency in relational databases and SQL queries. 

• Version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development tools. 

You may be a good fit if you have these additional skills and/or educational background: 

• Experience with JavaScript programming and proficiency in related technologies (ReactJS, Typescript, NodeJS). Exposure to NestJS a plus. 

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 

• Understanding of mobile app development or mobile-responsive web design. 

• Relevant certifications in typescript, APIs and related technologies.
