Senior Software Engineer - Rendering

Kokku is seeking a Senior Rendering Engineer to join our team! As a Senior Rendering Engineer you will beresponsible for designing and developing the implementation of game systems and resources, focusing on working with rendering pipelines and graphic libraries. This role works closely with other programmers and the production team to create high-performance, robust, and sustainable systems in a game development environment.

Responsabilities

• Implement robust and scalable solutions for high-quality rendering in a game engine;
• Perform CPU and GPU performance profiling and optimization;
• Identify and highlight any potential risks during the development process;
• Solve engineering problems by applying sound software engineering principles, design patterns, performance optimization and minimizing any potential disruption factors during the development process;
• Champion engineering excellence at Kokku as well as with our client’s development efforts;
• Other duties as assigned.
  

Requirements

• Solid engineering skills with a vast professional experience in games;
• 2+ years of experience as a Graphics or Rendering Engineer;
• Two or more shipped games;
• Multiplatform development experience;
• Excellent programming skills in C++;
• Solid CPU and GPU debugging and optimization experience;
• Solid understanding of graphics pipelines and rendering techniques;
• Solid experience with one or more rendering APIs (DirectX, Vulcan, etc);
• Experience in smartphone development;
• Knowledge of Unreal (UE4 or UE5), Unity and other proprietary engines;
• Solid attention to organization and detail with strong analytical skills;
• Solid technical insight;
• Good communication skills with the ability to write and verbalize conceptual thoughts;
• Strong sense of accountability to consistently meet and exceed performance expectations;
• High emotional intelligence to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics effectively;
• Proactive agent with a problem solving and critical thinking mindset;
• Solid debugging and optimisation skills.
