Do you have a passion for delighting customers by building high quality scalable cloud services? If so, we invite you to join the Autodesk Building Design team, the makers of Autodesk Revit. We're seeking a highly motivated software engineer who will work as part of a cross functional agile team. Our team is focused on Revit Cloud Worksharing, which empowers architects and engineers to collaborate as they design better, more energy-efficient buildings. We are looking for a software engineer who is excited by the challenge of developing and improving these large scale, data intensive services.

As part of our team, you will:
- Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team to solve a wide variety of problems - on any given day you might be architecting and developing new features, investigating the root causes of problems, and working closely with our devops team to ensure that deployments go live with no hiccups
- Research new technologies, tools, and design patterns and make recommendations about what would help us improve our engineering practices
- Collaborate across teams to support production services in an on-call rotation - we have teams around the world, so on-call duties will typically be during your daylight hours
- Work closely with the product owner to understand customer workflows and needs and identify the right way to solve them
To succeed in this role you need to:
- Be excited about the challenge of working on a complex set of services with many active users - everything you do will affect thousands of users in multiple regions
- Have a learning mindset - today we rely heavily on C#, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, CloudFront, RDS, SQS but as the technology landscape changes we need to constantly learn and adapt
- Be a strong collaborator - this is a team environment and we work closely together
- Be a critical thinker who can contribute to meaningful retrospectives that help us learn and improve in our engineering practices, team processes, and collaboration
Responsibilities:
- Develop high quality, secure and stable code that is covered by unit tests
- Participate in software design and architecture by leveraging cloud design patterns and injecting your software engineering expertise into the entire development lifecycle
- Contribute to improvements in processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the team in responding to customer and business needs
- Conduct research and make recommendations on tools, services, and standards to use for engineering efforts
- Document and present your ideas and solutions accurately and thoroughly
- Coordinate change deployment and release testing effort
- Work closely with product owner to support production services in an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents
- Enthusiasm to share knowledge, learn from others and actively engage in various agile team meeting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of hands-on development experience working with C# for backend services
- Experience of security best practices for a modern cloud service
- Experience of CI/CD concepts and working with a deployment pipeline
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services or other cloud infrastructure technologies
- Experience with REST APIs
- Experience in Relational Database Management Systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or others
- Experience with AWS including EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, CloudFront, RDS, SQS, etc.
- Knowledge of microservices
- Experience working with Docker containers
- Cloud security/secure development life cycle
- Experience with other coding languages including C++, Python, Groovy, or others
- Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
