Position Description: 

 

Develops software projects with Object Orientated (OO) programs, using Java, C#, Python, Angular 2.0+, AWS, and RDBMS. Analyzes and extracts data from REST APIs and processes large datasets in parallel, using C# and Java. Develops custom data pipelines to extract, map, transform, and load data into various data stores (RDBMS, Oracle, S3, and/or shared drives). Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects and proposes modifications and improvements based on user need. Develops software system tests and validation procedures, programs, and documentation. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts. 

  • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms. 

  • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. 

  • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation. 

  • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing. 

  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives. 

  • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. 

  • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. 

  • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project. 

  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. 

 

Education and Experience: 

 

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing front-end development using Angular, Javascript, and GraphQL in a wealth management or financial planning domain. 

 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing front-end development using Angular, Javascript, and GraphQL in a wealth management or financial planning domain. 

 

Skills and Knowledge: 

 

Candidate must also possess: 

 

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing front-end financial Web applications using modern Javascript frameworks -- Angular, RxJs, Redux, NgRx, GraphQL, and jQuery; performing unit testing of front-end financial desktop and Web applications using Jest; and designing functional and integration test cases for front-end financial desktop and Web applications, using Cypress and Cucumber. 

  • DE developing front-end financial desktop applications in Angular according to Infragistics frameworks; and developing server layer, using Java, GraphQL, NodeJs, and NestJs. 

  • DE providing technical support and knowledge sharing across geographically disparate business units using Agile methodologies. 

  • DE developing enterprise Cloud-based financial workflow solutions using serverless architecture pattern and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud services -- Lambda, SQS, IAM, and NodeJS.
