We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Engineering Manager with a proven track record in startup environments to lead our talented engineering teams in India and globally. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving product innovation, shaping strategic technology plans, and fostering a culture of excellence within our organization. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, mentor engineering managers and software engineers, and provide strategic vision to align engineering efforts with our company’s goals.

As a Senior Engineering Manager in the AI space, you should have experience leading teams that have worked on AI or machine learning products. You should have sufficient understanding of how to build artificial natural language agents and the data architectures to support them. You will work closely with product, research and engineering leaders to formulate hiring plans, advise on strategy, and optimize engineering resources towards business needs.
Responsibilities:
â—Ź Lead Engineering Excellence: Direct and inspire engineering teams to develop innovative, high-quality products. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among Engineering Managers, software engineers, architects, and technical leaders.
â—Ź Strategic Vision: Collaborate with key stakeholders to define compelling product and technology plans, emphasizing incremental development and delivery. Set clear objectives with measurable results, driving team and individual accountability.
â—Ź Team Leadership: Mentor and coach Engineering Managers, guiding them in their leadership journey. Align people, capacity, and dependencies to deliver on priorities and objectives. Ensure productive cooperation with Product, Engineering, Research, Operations, and Support teams.
â—Ź Innovation and Efficiency: Insist on excellence and efficiency in software engineering practices. Embrace a continuous improvement mindset, promoting innovation and knowledge sharing among teams and across the organization.
â—Ź Talent Development: Participate in the recruitment, development, and empowerment of top engineering talent. Attract, nurture, and retain exceptional engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Qualifications:
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related computing field is required. Master’s degree in a related computing field is preferred.
â—Ź Experience: 15+ years in software development with at least 5 years leading software development managers. Proven experience in the technology product industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of product development and innovation.
â—Ź Technical Proficiency: Experience in developing and delivering modern SaaS products. Strong understanding of cloud-native scalable systems, particularly on public clouds such as AWS. Proficiency in modern DevOps principles, embracing the ethos of "you build it, you run it."
â—Ź Leadership: Decisive technology leader with a bias towards action. Exceptional ability to connect with people, form relationships, and work cross-functionally to achieve shared goals. Professional command of the English language, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively across all roles and levels inside the company.
â—Ź Global Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively across geographies. Experience managing managers and attracting/retaining top engineering talent.
