Senior Software Engineering Manager (Hybrid)
Job Description
At Pangea Money Transfer, we are dedicated to building the worldâs best platform for consumers to transfer money internationally by reducing the cost and pain points of money transfer while maintaining high reliability and security standards.
Pangea is seeking a software engineering leader to manage and build our growing engineering team. You will report to the Director of Engineering and be responsible for overseeing a development team responsible for our core consumer facing platform and mobile apps. Our platform is developed in C#/.NET and hosted in AWS.
Responsibilities:Â
- Manage one or more cross-functional teams of engineers responsible for delivery of consumer facing roadmap initiatives.
- Create and drive plans to deliver roadmap initiatives with milestones and detailed task assignments, and provide regular visibility into progress.
- Manage assignments of tasks to engineers, balancing short term deliverables with long term career growth.
- Be both a strong technical leader and a thoughtful people manager.
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to establish priorities and align strategy.
- Manage performance of engineers and recruit new engineers on the team.
- Manage all development sprint related meetings.
Requirements:Â
- BS or MS degree in computer science or a related degree.
- 8+ years of experience in software development and management roles.
- Experience managing engineers for 3+ years.
- Experience building software for external customers on a B2C or B2B platform that preferably interacts with payment systems.
- Familiarity with multiple front end and back end technologies and cloud platforms.
