UKG is looking to hire a Sr. Quality Engineer to join our highly talented development team! As a quality engineer, you will be part of the continued improvement and growth of our suite web services software solution. We are looking for someone who brings high energy and enthusiasm, who is eager to work on cutting-edge technology. As a Sr. Quality Engineer, one will be expected to follow the modern test methodologies and processes throughout the software development lifecycle. The candidate must demonstrate good analytical abilities, attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills

As a Sr. Software QA Engineer, you'll be embedded on a development team of between 5-10 people, where you can have fun finding bugs and writing test automation to ensure the long-term quality of our products. You will also get to work directly with developers, business analysts, and even our product users in a highly collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to grow as a software tester and help instill in others a passion for quality enterprise development.• As a member of our daily stand-up meeting, you'll be able to share bugs that you've found and walk a developer through the issue and collaborate with them ensuring the issue gets resolved.• Prior to a story being tested, you'll create and document test cases for other engineers to follow with manual and/or automated tests.• A developer may come to you wanting you to review their unit tests, and you can suggest additional test cases that they might need to cover.• Also, exploratory testing - this is where you get to let loose on the application, go crazy and try to break it!• Lead the testing of new features and implementations of new test technologies and frameworks• Foster the culture of delivering quality software promptly and continuously improving the development process• Promote innovation and keep the team up to date on the latest and most significant industry trends• You'll work with seasoned test architects to develop and advance in your career. We can train you to get better with our in-house training in white box and black box testing

Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred• 3+ years of experience in writing and testing code in an object-oriented language, like Kotlin, Java, or C#, on enterprise projects• Knowledge of testing techniques/methodologies and how to apply them (white and black box, equivalence class partitioning, pairwise, state transition, boundary-value, decision table)• Experience working with Javascript and modern front-end frameworks• Should have good knowledge and experience in unit, integration, and functional testing, automation, reporting defects along with root cause, troubleshooting skills• Knowledge/familiarity with Selenium is preferred• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB is preferred.• Experience working with Nightwatch.io is preferred
