Senior Software Test Engineer

• Design, implement and run software test for mobile robot drive and pick n’ place capabilities. 
• Owns development of automated testing using simulation and hardware in the loop testing for verification of robot behaviors. 
• Own software integration testing of systems and subsystems. 
• Lead testing framework development for scalability across multiple robot platforms. 
• Implement and conduct tests via scripting, data log parsing and analysis
• Collaborate with software developers to develop tests that verify performance of new robot capabilities. 
• Perform root cause analysis and system level debugging of hardware/software components for mobile robot platform. 
• Troubleshoot system problems in production or design by investigating issues related to product performance or production difficulties 

• Demonstrated ability to test complex system
• Experience with general purpose programming environments, languages and scripting systems, data analysis packages, Linux, C++, git 
• BS / MS in computer science, robotics, engineering or equivalent work experience
• Experience with scripting tools Python & Bash; experience with testing automation designed in Python and PyTest is desirable 
• Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, GitLab Automation  
• Knowledge of software quality and testing automation principles 
• Experience with Gazebo and ROS a plus.

• Startup experience at companies that are scaling fast; an ability to build the robot as they ship it, as we say 
• Robotics / supply chain / logistics experience a plus but not required
• Experience with general purpose programming environments, languages and scripting systems, data analysis packages, Linux, C++, 
• Experience with scripting tools Python experience with testing automation designed in Python and PyTest is desirable 
• A hands-on problem solver who can clearly communicate results. 
• Familiarity with robotics, mechatronics, or embedded systems  
• Knowledge of software quality and testing automation principles 
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including robotics engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure that testing, integration, and overall development goals are met to the highest standards
• Test Planning and Execution: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring adequate coverage of all robotic system components and functionalities
• Coordinate and execute testing activities, including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and stress testing
• Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks
• A willingness to take personal responsibility for problem solving
