Job Description

Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is currently seeking to hire a Senior Software Test Engineer Lead to support Aviation Missile Command (AvMC) and add a valued employee-owner to our dynamic and employee-centric culture.

As the lead of the development team, the candidate will be expected to deep dive into the C2BMC Defense Planner software, understand its architecture and functions to be able to perform, advise, and manage in depth analyses of problem resolution. The candidate will also be expected to manage the team to fix bugs and implement new features for a JavaScript/Typescript API project. Other day-to-day responsibilities include documentation updates, writing unit tests, release testing, coordination and deconfliction of task with the customer. Candidate should also be familiar with Agile. Candidate will also help derive and convert engineering algorithms for various phenomenology into delivered software code. Candidate will be expected to be self-motivated and work in a fast-paced team environment.

Job Requirements

Duties:

  • Lead and develop integration and system automated test software
  • Operate the C2BMC Defense Designer to perform system and integration tests
  • Manage and perform bug fixes and/or create new features
  • Documentation generation
  • Breakdown complex mathematical computations
  • Key interface with the customer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering and minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering
  • Ability to obtain Secret security clearance
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • JavaScript/Typescript experience
  • Docker experience is a plus
  • Git/GitLabexperience is a plus
  • Management of a software development team

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with Visual Studio/VS Code
  • Experience programming with C#/C++/Python
  • Experience with .NET Core
