Job Description

In support of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Sr. Software Test Engineer to support our many Plex SaaS products. This role will have a blend of manual and automation testing skills and work to assist the Product Quality team in pivoting to a primarily automated testing stance.

Essential Functions

• Run automated test scripts, assist with prioritization of use cases to be scripted and a desire to learn to read scripts, contribute to code reviews and write low-medium complexity test scripts.
• Manual testing will focus on utilizing expertise in business knowledge and system functionality via exploratory testing in order to find defects outside of the main use cases.
• Assist with all aspects of quality including interaction with Product Management, User Experience and Development teams to confirm requirements are testable as defined, communicate test plan, testing progress/defect reporting and recreation/troubleshooting of defects as necessary.
• Become a subject matter expert on quality contributing to quality process improvements and act as a quality evangelist across all teams to drive product quality.
• Work independently and within a team in a fast paced environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related area
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, not now or in the future, for this job opening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Typically requires 5+ years of software application testing experience
• Experience with test development and both manual and automation test execution
• Knowledge of quality best practices and methodologies for software testing.
• Experience with JMeter, Selenium WebDriver, BDD tools (SpecFlow) or other open source/commercial market-leading solutions for functional, regression, or performance test automation.
• Understanding of relational database concepts and SQL language.
• Working knowledge of C#/.NET ecosystem is a plus.
• Knowledge of ERP programs and/or SaaS is a plus.
• Manufacturing industry knowledge is a plus.
• Working with Jira/Confluence and qTest software is a plus.
